EPA RECOGNITION OF AEROFLOAT GREY WATER PRODUCTS
The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) tested the Aerofloat greywater treatment plant on a 12 berth commercial houseboat between November 2009 and March 2010. The EPA confirmed that providing the plant is operated in according with the Operation and Maintenance requirements, the plant meets the onboard greywater treatment system discharge standards for vessels travelling in South Australia’s inland waters.
These results back up the extensive testing undertaken on the Aerofloat product between June and November 2009.
In addition Aerofloat is the first and only product to have undergone and passed the rigorous testing required for Product Certification in accordance with the Australian Standard AS 4995 – 2009 (Greywater treatment systems for vessels operated on inland waters). Aerofloat has an ongoing commitment to continue to refine the process and provide houseboat owners with the most effective and efficient solution on the market.
Aerofloat’s Managing Director Ray Anderson has stated that the EPA’s recognition of the Aerofloat product is an important milestone in the short history of the company. Anderson went on to say “We would like to advise houseboat owners that Aerofloat staff have over 40 years of experience in producing waste water treatment plants. This broad experience has been used to produce a robust, low maintenance, high treatment capacity and cost effective greywater treatment system.”
