Houseboat Greywater Treatment

In 2009 a national standard was developed for the treatment of greywater for vessels travelling on inland Australian waters. South Australia, through the SA Environment Protection Authority (EPA), was the first state to legislate against this standard. The legislation has been progressively introduced since 2009. Aerofloat was formed in 2009 by Ray Anderson in response to a need to treat greywater generated from houseboats. The Aerofloat product is ideal for use on houseboats because of the light weight and flexible size options while still providing an affordable treatment solution. Aerofloat offers a more favourable option to containment and pumping out of greywater at disposal facilities as it provides houseboat owners with greater freedom while travelling in locations where pump out stations are limited. This results in lower overall storage requirements and fuel costs associated with motoring to and from pumping stations.
There are four models available that are best suited to commercial and private houseboat use.
Aerofloat 200 - 200 litres per hour - Suitable for 2-4 berth vessels
This product was developed specifically for the private houseboat market for those looking for a unit with a small footprint, low height and can be used infrequently to treat small volumes of greywater.
Aerofloat 350 - 350 litres per hour - Suitable for 4-6 berth vessels
The Aerofloat 350 is similar to the Model 200 but is suitable for those boats with boats with more berths but still require a small footprint.
Aerofloat 450 - 450 litres per hour - Suitable for 6-8 berth vessels
The system is the "little brother" to Aerofloat's flagship product the Aerofloat 750. The only difference between the two systems is the overall height and treatment capacity.
Aerofloat 750 - 750 litres per hour - Suitable for 6-12 berth vessels
The 750 was the original Aerofloat model built initially for the commercial houseboat market.
