Case Study - Amazon Star
AMAZON STAR
Amazon Star which was constructed in Loxton and launched in mid 2010 uses a Model 750 Aerofloat greywater treatment system. The Aerofloat team was engaged by boat builder, Brian Mahlor to ensure the unit was installed in the most efficient location and within the required time frame.
The new legislation stipulates that all new houseboats must comply with the EPA requirements by 1 January 2009. Owner Tom Freeman decided the Aerofloat system was the best choice to ensure he met the regulations.
The Aerofloat design team met with Tom and Brian during the design phase and advised the best layout for the overall greywater management system. Aerofloat worked with the builder to install the Aerofloat 750 in stages – in line with the boat construction. The Aerofloat unit was delivered early in the construction phase to fit in with other activities. The operations team again revisited the craft after the plumbing was complete to ensure optimal performance from day one.
Tom Freeman - Amazon Star
“Aerofloat was professional and dedicated to ensure the Model 750 unit was installed on time and in line with our new boat specifications. We were very happy with the team’s performance during construction and installation and we are also very pleased with the performance of the Aerofloat unit to date.”
