Aerofloat is proud to continue its long-standing support of Gawura School at St Andrew’s Cathedral School, helping advance educational opportunities for First Nations students as part of the company’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

For several years, Aerofloat has supported the school through annual donations and participation in community events, building a meaningful relationship with a school that places equal emphasis on academic achievement, cultural identity, belonging and connection to Country.

Recently, Aerofloat Managing Directors Ray Anderson and Julie Anderson attended a special event at Gawura School, joining students, staff and community members in welcoming Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia.

Located on Gadigal Country in the heart of Sydney, Gawura School provides a Kindergarten to Year 6 education for First Nations children. During her visit, the Governor-General enjoyed a traditional dance performance, took part in a Q&A session with students, joined a Kindergarten reading class and met with members of the school community.

“Supporting Gawura School is an important part of Aerofloat’s commitment to reconciliation,” said Ray Anderson. “We have been proud supporters of the school for a number of years and are continually inspired by the strong sense of culture, community and opportunity it provides for its students.”

Aerofloat values its ongoing relationship with Gawura School and looks forward to continuing to support the school’s students, staff and broader community in the years ahead.
