Meyer Food – meat processor wastewater
Meat manufacturer Meyer Food Co. utilised Aerofloat’s AeroDAF to ensure compliancy for its meat processing facility.
An effective and compact solution to meet Sydney Water’s trade waste requirements, without taking up valuable space.
Despite the tight space, the compact AeroDAF 100 was installed with hydraulic balancing, pH correction, flow monitoring, a polymer makeup system, two pump stations and one waste tank.
Italia Smallgoods was able to meet Sydney Water’s discharge requirements.
Italia Smallgoods’, Sydney manufacturing facility needed a compact wastewater treatment solution to meet Sydney Water’s standards.
Italia produces a range of Italian small goods that generates a wastewater high in suspended solids (SS) and fats, oils and greases (FOG). Sydney Water required Italia to treat its wastewater at the point source before discharging to sewer.
Italia contracted Aerofloat to provide a solution given the compact nature of its proprietary technology: one of the key features of Aerofloat’s patented dissolved air flotation (AeroDAF) is its compact nature.
Aerofloat completed the design in-house and offered 3D models of the design prior to installation, giving Italia the confidence that the system would fit the space.
Aerofloat was also able to assist with Sydney Water’s approval. Due to its detailed in-house drafting capability, Aerofloat managed a third party building contractor for the client (who was responsible for the slab, bund work and housing of the treatment plant). In-house electrical capabilities enabled Aerofloat to complete all electrical installation work as well.
