Typically the patented dissolved air flotation (AeroDAF) and patent-pending moving bed biofilm reactor (AeroMBBR), will form the basis of the dairy wastewater treatment plant design. The AeroDAF is a unique dissolved air flotation product that is compact, sealed and has a patented scum removal process – eliminating the need for traditional mechanical scrapers. The AeroDAF will remove the majority of the suspended solids (SS) and fats, oils and grease (FOG) in the wastewater. The AeroMBBR uses a proven treatment technique but includes a patent-pending removal aeration system which minimises maintenance and eliminates downtime seen in traditional systems. The AeroMBBR is a biological system used to remove soluble contaminants from dairy industry wastewater.
