Meyer Food – meat processor wastewater
Meat manufacturer Meyer Food Co. utilised Aerofloat’s AeroDAF to ensure compliancy for its meat processing facility.
A compliant, odour controlled, easy to maintain and affordable wastewater treatment plant.
Aerofloat installed an AeroDAF 100 and associated equipment to provide a wastewater treatment plant capable of meeting Ruby and Roy’s trade waste commitments.
Aerofloat built a compliant, odour-controlled plant and also forged a long-term relationship with Ruby and Roy’s. Aerofloat still assists in routine maintenance and optimisation of the plant and provides ongoing chemical supply.
Aerofloat achieved compliant effluent and has continued to support the team at Ruby and Roy’s with ongoing servicing and chemical supply.
Known for their multi-award winning (and utterly divine) yoghurt brand, Ruby and Roy’s, Karen and Simon worked with Aerofloat’s Ray Anderson to install a new dissolved air flotation (DAF) system.
After exploring the products on offer, Karen and Simon felt that Aerofloat would give them exactly what they needed, with the confidence of a job well done and the added bonus of the right price tag.
Karen reflected on the process of finding the right supplier for their business, “Ray made us feel completely assured that we were going in the right direction. We met other suppliers promising improbable results for a lot of money. Ray was never going to leave us with something that was half-done. He is passionate about what he does, and it shows.”
Aerofloat designed a wastewater treatment system using its patented AeroDAF technology. The process included primary screening, pH correction, coagulation and flocculation following by an AeroDAF 100 for solids separation.
Despite no biological treatment step in the plant, the removal of the suspended solids (SS) and grease saw an effective reduction in the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) associated with those solids.
The plant also resulted in an odour-free working environment for Ruby and Roy’s staff.
Aerofloat continues to support Ruby and Roy’s with monthly servicing and ongoing chemical supply.

Circular Plastics Australia’s new plant in Altona North, Victoria, will recycle high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) plastics from the Melbourne community. It required a wastewater treatment solution that would meet Melbourne city’s strict trade waste requirements.
