Mick Anderson, General Manager of Aerofloat is still at IFAT Munich, the largest wastewater trade fair in the world. In this video, he explores some innovative equipment from Ebara, Netzsch, Lutz Jesco and ifm.

Hi folks, Mick from Aerofloat over here in IFAT Germany for the Wastewater and Waste Management Exhibition, day four, 2024.
It’s been absolutely amazing speaking to so many great companies from different parts of the world that are willing to provide their knowledge and IP to integrate into projects in Australia.
We’re at the EBARA stand so these pumps here, the DVS, your submersibles, 3LS, a few EVMS. This pump here the DWO is a great pump for us, we’ve got hundreds of these pumps all over Australia good pump.
And we can do the special seals for it so that it stays 10-15 years with no problem.
A massive hall just pumps. Awesome! The layout of this thing: there’s three rows of these exhibition Halls which are absolutely massive and then in different areas of the site they have outdoor exhibits with large equipment and a few demonstrations and things on display. So, just for context this one hall that I’m in is just sched 80 pipes, poly pipes and valves and it’s about the size of the Aus Water Exhibition and there’s 17 other halls just like this.
This is an awesome product. A flow meter that doesn’t need to be fully charged, incredible!
In Australia we use NETZSCH and Roto for our helical rotor pumps. I’m at the NETZSCH stand here this is the NEMO one helical rotor pump for Progressive cavity pumping applications.
These units are really cool from Lutz Jesco, German company, and they’re distributed in Australia through processed water, you can hit up Daniel Beaven on LinkedIn. We use these to decant pales, great products, battery powered, incredible!
We’re just here at the IFM stand, a German company that provide these instruments. We supply these to all of our wastewater treatment plants in Australia, so the really cool thing about this is that you can have all of your instruments in a field going back to this IO-Link module and then just run one cable back to your PLC with whatever protocol, mob bus, property bus, ethernet. And the benefit of these are that the instruments themselves actually have multiple parameters within each, so you can then basically pick up all sorts of things like little bonus points from each sensor, like if you got a pressure element you can also get temperature off it. Really, really cool business.
Everyone here is just so friendly and so open and really solid companies who we can work with to deliver more great projects in Australia for our customers.
